Mary Ortiz Sanchez

Mary was born in Lamesa Texas on December 6th 1949 to the late Librado Ortiz and Irene Garcia. She married Robert Sanchez on January 23rd 1962; they were married for 61 years.

Mary was a beloved mother and grandmother who loved her family with her whole heart. Her happiest times were with family and her beloved husband Robert Sanchez. She loved being home and watching her movies but most importantly she loved the unexpected visits from her family.

Mary is survived by her husband Robert Sanchez, her children Johnny and the late Frances Sanchez, Robert and Nora Sanchez, Former John Ramirez and Elizabeth Sanchez , Albert and Denise Sanchez and Zakari and Alexandra Sanchez. Grandchildren Levi and Bethanie Ramirez, Ashlee and Jessica Ramirez, James and Kabrina Fogle, Anisa White (David), Avory Sanchez, Athena Sanchez and Adelyne Sanchez. Great grandchildren, Adrian Sanchez, Izak Sanchez, Rowan Ramirez and Angela Ramirez.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Librado Ortiz and Irene Garcia, her sisters, Virginia Franco, Silvia Bustillos, and MariaLena, brothers, Joe Ortiz and Librado Ortiz Jr, Daughter in law, Francis Sanchez, and grandchildren, Alec Sanchez, Dyxie Adams.

Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, Albert Sanchez, Zakari Sanchez and Levi Ramirez will serve as pallbearers.

The family of Mary Sanchez wishes to thank everyone for their continued prayers.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 North Jackson, Odessa, TX 79761. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Odessa Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761.
