Before falling into ill health, Matt was an exceptionally energetic young man with the world at his fingertips. Handsome, smart, strong, entertaining, and funny are some of the words used to describe him when he was at his best. Matthew received Jesus as his Savior at an early age. He worshiped at Antioch Christian Church and Crossroads. He graduated from Permian High School in 2003, and received a Bachelor Science Degree from University of Oklahoma as an Industrial Engineer in 2007.
Matt will most be remembered for the fact that no matter what life was throwing at him he never slowed down and stopped. In spite of obvious difficulties, Matt was always able to find a way to do what he needed to do and somehow he managed to get it all right in the end. Very few people in the world would try as hard at anything as Matt did at everything and it was his effort that inspired all who were lucky enough to know him in life.
Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha McCarver and paternal grandmother, Arva Jones.
Matt is survived by his parents, Dale and Debra Jones, as well as a brother, Luke Jones of Searcy, Arkansas, grandparents, Paul Jones of Gardendale and Max and Betty Ray Coffee of Big Spring.
