

Our beloved husband, Dad, son and brother left us Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Odessa, Texas. Michael Scott McCrury husband to Margie, Dad to Zachary, son to Mary and Darnell McCrury and brother to Shauna McConnell. He was a cherished and very much loved member of our small family.Michael was born on February 14, 1964 in Canyon, Texas. His early years were spent in the Panhandle of Texas before moving to Odessa with his parents and sister. He attended Gonzales Elem., Nimitz Jr. High and graduated from Permian High School in 1982. He then graduated from Sul Ross State University. His life’s work was in Criminal Justice Parole Division and he was a supervisor in the Odessa office
Michael was looking forward to his retirement in a year. His plans included spending a summer in Costa Rica, traveling through India, sailing through the Panama Canal and fishing in the Bahamas. Michael loved his family, all outdoor sports and traveling to exotic places. Deep Sea fishing was a passion of his. His second home has always been in the mountains of Fort Davis. Left in sorrow and grief is his wife Margie , son Zachary, sister and brother-in-law Shauna and Ed McConnell, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bob Terrell, Barbara Johnson, step grandmother Bertha Grissom, Sister-in-laws Gail and husband Ronnie Greer, Mendy Moss and husband Jeff, brother-in-law Eddie Moss and wife Kim, father-in-law Eddie Moss, mother-in-law Susie Morgan, and his parents Darnell and Mary McCrury. Michael, till we can hold you in our arms again, we will hold you in our hearts. His final resting place will be with his beloved grandparents, Dan and Tince Little in the family plot in the old Lamesa Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas. His granddad Harold Grissom also rests in the same cemetery as well as numerous other relatives. Interment to follow at the Old Lamesa Cemetery in Lamesa.. Pallbearers will be Kevin Carroll, David Young, Eddie Moss, Justin Young, Steven Warren, Bobby Dancer & Jay Steven. Honorary Pallbearers will be Laura Cortez & Joe Flores. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
