Nathaniel "Bubba" Woods II

Bubba was born in Odessa on September 27, 2002, to Christina Carrasco and Nathaniel Woods. He graduated from Permian High School in 2021.

Bubba found true joy in spending quality time with his family and friends, especially during Sunday gatherings at Grandma’s house. He had a passion for yard work and gardening—growing his miniature carrots in his own backyard was a particular favorite. In his free time, he enjoyed watching football and anime, and listening to music of all genres. Known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and pure intentions, Bubba was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His big personality and bright smile left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Bubba shared an unbreakable bond with his mother and sister—together they were a loving trio, always supporting and uplifting one another through life’s highs and lows. The love they shared was deep, genuine, and a constant source of strength.

He is survived by his mother, Christina Carrasco; his father, Nathaniel Woods; his sister, Tiyanna Woods; and his grandparents, Marisela Carrasco, Frieda Woods, and Nathan Woods.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernest Carrasco.

Pallbearers will be Herbert Ray Anderson Jr., Kerry Jeron Woods, D'Angelo Antwine Woods, Christian Carrasco, Isaac Carrasco, Moises Contreras, Bryan Padilla, and Christopher Torres Rodarte.

Honorary pallbearers include Andy Castillo, Isia Gutierrez, Esteban Ibarra, Manuel Jimenez, Jack Musukuma, Jeff Musukuma, Miguel Padilla, Erik Pando, Matthew Ruiz, Sergio Soto, and Diego Tavarez, Jesse Jaquez, Jakob Ortega.

A visitation for Nathaniel will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A second visitation will occur Monday, October 6, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Impact City Church, 914 N Texas Ave, Odessa, TX 79761. The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E, Odessa, TX 79762.
