

In Our Heavenly Kingdom and in the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a beloved Mother, Grandmother,& Dear Friend. Pauline “Poli” B.Chavez. Mrs Chavez 81 of Odessa, Surrounded by her loving family, passed away in her sleep, (as she desired) on Saturday December 21, 2013 at her residence. .She was born August 8, 1932 in Midland, Texas to Carlos & Cruz Torres Barreraz. She united in marriage to Eustacio Chavez on November 29, 1948 here in Odessa, Texas. They were married for 35 years before his passing, she remained a faithful widow for over 30 plus years, together they raised 15 children and 3 stepsons whom she loved as her own. She was a homemaker and a devout Catholic Christian woman whom loved and served Our Lord and Savior until the end. She was a member of the Catholic Womens Organization and of The Sacred Heart Womens Association and always ready in giving her helping hand. Christ was her life, she lived for him, and had an undying love for his mother (Our Mother The Blessed Virgin Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe.) She tried to see good in everyone and will be remembered for her generosity and the eagerness to help others and to serve Christ. She was preceded in death by Husband: Eustacio Chavez, Parents: Carlos & Cruz Torres Barreraz, Brothers:S.T. Barreraz, M.T. Barreraz, and Antonio Barreraz.
She is survived by her Sons: Pete Barreraz (Lorena), Charlie Chavez(Gloria),Tom Chavez, (Rosa), Gabriel Chavez,(Lucy), Mike Chavez, (Roselia), Ray Chavez,(Aurora), David Chavez, Jimmy Chavez (Brenda), Henry Chavez, all of Odessa, Step-sons: Tacho Chavez, Eddie Chavez (Alicia), Tachito Chavez (Teresa), all of El Paso, Texas. Daughters: Irene Franco (+ Robert +) of Pecos, Lucy Ybarra (Johnny) of Odessa, Mary Aguirre (Carlos)of Odessa, Frances Carter (Darrell) of Monahans, Texas, Mary Ann Borunda (Joe Lee) of Odessa, Linda Chavez of Odessa
Grandchildren 50 plus, Great-Grandchildren 110 plus and one on the way, Great-Great-Grandchildren: 15 plus one on the way, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Many Friends. We the Chavez, Barreraz Family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food, offering and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. A special Gratitude to all the Nurses & Staff at Home Hospice for all the wonderful Loving Care Given to Our Beloved Mother. May God Bless You All Abundantly. Rosary to be recited at 7pm Monday December 23, 2013. Visitation will be from 8 am to 5pm on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Mass will be celebrated at 2pm Thursday December 26, 2013 at St, Joseph`s Catholic Church with Reverend: Joseph Uecker officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden Section.
