

Odessa, Texas – Randy Mallette Lasseter, a devoted husband, loving father of six, proud University of Texas alumnus, and U.S. Army veteran, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, in Odessa, Texas. He was 76 years old.
Born on January 3, 1949, Randy was the son of O.M. and Alma Jereline Lasseter. As a middle child, he grew up with a strong sense of family, duty, and community, which would define his life's path.
Randy honorably served his country as a military policeman in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His time in service instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and pride for his country.
Upon returning home, Randy pursued his a career in healthcare, graduating from the highly respected University of Texas Pharmacy School. He dedicated his career to serving Odessa, Midland and surrounding communities as a pharmacist.
Beyond his professional life, Randy was a man of simple pleasures and devotion to his church. He was an avid fan of college football and baseball, but he cherished his family above all else. He never missed an opportunity for breakfast with his beloved children and grandchildren – moments that created lasting memories and strengthened their bonds. An RV enthusiast and outdoorsman, Randy found solace and joy in exploring national parks with Ginger, marveling at the beauty of nature. He also held a special place in his heart for his canine companions.
Randy was preceded in death by two of his sisters, Carol Lasseter and Sharon Mangum.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Ginger Lasseter; his children, Travis Lasseter, Benjamin Lasseter, Danielle Dameron, Adam Lasseter, Andrew Doty, and Jessica Edmondson; his sisters, Jill Greer and Jan Lasseter; and a legacy of cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will dearly miss his presence.
He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory and the countless moments of joy he brought into their lives. The family will hold a private memorial to celebrate his life.
