Boss man,
I still can’t get over the fact that your no longer with us walking this earth. When I received that phone call, I broke down. I just couldn’t believe it was true. I had just talked to you, you were so excited to come back home. That’s what broke me the most. But I just know your looking down at us “ the guys” watching over us, protecting us. You were like a father to us. Love you and miss so you much Rene.

You were like a brother to me. We went through so much together. The highs and the lows. I’ll never forget your smile and laugh and funny stories. You were always there to lift up my spirits and make my day better and brighter when I saw you or talked to you. I love you, brother. I know you’ll always be up in heaven looking down on me and protecting me with that huge smile!!!!

Rene will forever be my hero. He saved Steve's life by carrying him through the sandhills when his truck caught fire. That was the kind of man he was always lifting others up. He will forever live in our hearts. RIP Rene. God bless his family.

Rene you will be missed. I did not get to see you too much as you got older but I did hang out with you and your sister, Rosemary when your mom was going to college and had night classes. You both would stay with me. I do remember how protective you were of Rosemary. I had to get onto to her for something (can't remember what) and of course she shed some tears and you kicked me in the shin cause I made your sister cry. Then she cried harder cause you had kicked me, we eventually all were laughing. Love You my Nephew. RIP
