Richard Jess Glover

Peggy and Dick Glover went to be with their Lord and Savior on May 22, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011, at First Christian Church.

Peggy and Dick were married on March 28, 1980 and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year.

Peggy was born in Healdton, Oklahoma on July 15, 1936 to Samuel A. and Lela Maness. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother, and a dear and caring friend to all who knew her. Peggy was the owner and CEO of Gemstar, Inc. and had successfully operated her business since 1976. She was also active in her church and numerous other organizations. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of family and faith and her influence and legacy will forever carry on. No one was more generous, unselfish, or caring than Peggy. She was our guardian angel and possessed all the qualities we strive to attain. Her influence and guidance is a testament to the extraordinary woman we all knew her to be.

Dick was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on August 2, 1934 to J.R. and Louise Glover. As a young man, he worked on oil rigs in Cuba for Kerr McGee and began his business, Dick Glover Company, in 1961. He was a hard working and well respected businessman who was in his element in the oilfield. He loved his ranch, hunting and fishing but most of all Dick cherished his wife and family.

Peggy and Dick were so proud of their children and grandchildren and were the happiest when they were with them. Their love for them was infinite. Peggy and Dick also had many life - long friends. They will be deeply missed by all.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children Greg Gray, his wife Dena, and their children Chrissy, Trent, and Erica; Teresa Trotter, her husband Stacy, and their children Sean and Noelle; and Kevin Gray and his children Megan, Kendall, and Garrett.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons Richard “Skeet” Glover and his wife Stephanie, and their children Holly Glover, Julie Lairson and her husband Ross, Meshal Look and her son Matthew, Patrick Look and Courtney Look. Robert “Pete” Glover and his wife Ann and their children, Jennifer and Ashley.
