What a great loss for the family and friends! But it is a gain for Heaven. Rickey and I taught at Permian High School together in the math department. My first deer hunt was with Ricky in the Coleman area. We had many fun times together. He was always a gentleman and a great guy. We maintained our friendship over the years and I will miss knowing all Ihad to do was call him and it was like the years of living our separate lives had not had any negative impact on our friendship and it was like taking a giant step back to the past. A true friend. Prayers for the family.

Dear family:
When I saw Ricky's photo it brought back many memories. We graduated together at Mozelle and rode the bus to school from Fisk to Mozelle. As a kid I was honored to call him my friend. As an adult I am especially proud to count Ricky as my friend. He was a good man. He impacted many lives through his years teaching kids math, serving in his church and community with the Crime Stoppers and other organizations. He loved his wife and family very much. He left a valuable legacy for you to treasure.
Thank you for being my friend, Ricky. We'll have a reunion in heaven.
Until we meet again,
Billie Lawrence Simpson Goodwin
