

Rita Elmira Kisselburg, 87, of Victoria, Texas passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her home in Victoria. Rita had resided in Odessa for over 40 years just recently moving to Victoria. She was born June 2, 1924 in Crossroads, TX to George Clinton & Jonnie Francis (Parks) Tatum. She had worked as a teacher’s aide for the Ector County Independent School District for 20 years.
Rita was larger than life from her early beginning in Miles, TX where she played all sports offered to girls at that time. She played for the San Angelo Peaches semi-pro softball team, and she was an avid bowler. Rita’s face was well known as a pink lady for over 25 years at Medical Center Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Odessa, TX, her Christian up bringing always found her helping others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Rufus Kisselburg, her son, Gary S. Treadaway, brother, J. C. Tatum, & daughter-in-laws, Pam & Kerry Treadaway.
She is survived by her sons, Russell Treadaway of Victoria, Bruce Treadaway of Balmorhea, & George Treadaway & wife Sherry of Monahans, her brother, Leonard Tatum & wife Freddie of El Paso, (5) grandchildren, & (9) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. Hwy 80, Odessa, TX. Rev. Glenn Pipes will be officiating.
