

Robbie was born in Odessa, Texas to Perry and Jessie (Hathorn) Nunley. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1964. Robbie later earned multiple degrees from University of Texas Permian Basin and West Texas State University.
Robbie met the love of her life during high school, E.V. Rogers. They married on July 31,1965, and this year would have marked 60 years of marriage. Together they had two daughters, Jessica and Bliss, who they raised in Odessa. Robbie and E.V. had a beautiful life and enjoyed annual family ski trips. She was a member of First Baptist Church and involved with the choir and music ministry for more than 50 years.
Robbie was a nurse for over 60 years, this was not her job, Robbie believed it was her calling. Robbie was Associate Professor of Nursing at Odessa College from 1975 to 2009. For 34 years she was the lead instructor for senior level nursing students. She was involved with both classroom instruction and direct supervision in clinical situations in the local area hospitals, involving direct patient care. Robbie also maintained a clinical practice in the Level 2, Emergency Department at Medical Center Hospital. She had a passion for teaching. She loved her students and her students loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and half-brother, Terry Nunley.
Robbie is survived by her husband E.V., of nearly 60 years, daughters, Jessica (Richard) Armstrong of Waco, Bliss Rogers of Lorena; grandchildren, Alana Armstrong, Luke Armstrong; half- sister, Barbara Martin of Odessa; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and students.
A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital, in Robbie's name.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and other staff of Medical Center Hospital for the special care they gave to both Robbie and the family.
