Roberto V Lozano

As we remember & honor the life and legacy of Bobby Lozano, he was born on December 4, 1933 in Balmorhea, Texas, to Frank & Martina Lozano.

He met his partner and love of his life Maria Luna in Balmorhea, Texas. They were married in 1954 for 31 years until her death in 1985.

Bobby started his career working at Pecos Automotive Proving Grounds as a skilled test driver. He later trained and worked as a professional Machinist at Knighten Machine Shop where he retired in 2014 after 25 years of service. His dedication & integrity to any job he held was reflected in his career with numerous recognitions for his work.

He led his life with a deep commitment to his family and community. He was a devoted member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, actively engaging in numerous fund-raising activities & organizations.

Bobby was an avid believer in working the land, planting trees, tilling the soil with his tractor for agriculture and watching the fruits of his labor grow. He was a great friend to many and was always there never hesitating to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Today we mourn the loss of Bobby Lozano alongside the memories of his parents Frank & Martina Lozano, his beloved wife of 31 years Maria Luna, his siblings Carolina Benavides, Esperanza Fenton, Frank Lozano Jr and his Godson Danny Lozano.

Bobby is survived by his daughter Adelaida (Fay) Garcia, husband Freddy Garcia, of San Antonio, Texas; his son Robert Lozano Jr. wife Azucena Lozano of El Paso, Texas; Sisters Mary Ellen Ibarra, Marcela Aranda, Rachel Venne, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to his doctors & care givers in Odessa, the staff at Serenity Personal Care Home of San Antonio. The outstanding attention and loving care shown by Dr. Salinas & his staff made his last days much better.

A visitation for Roberto will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A rosary will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 612 E 18th, Odessa, Texas 79761. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E I-20 Business Loop, Odessa, Texas 79762.
