Rosa Murray, 93, of Odessa passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Buena Vida Nursing Home.
She was born September 12, 1917, in Fort Stockton to Joel and Emma Jane (Crum) Smith. She graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1936. She married James W. Murray on February 12, 1938, in Fort Stockton. She had worked as a bank teller at the Del Rio National Bank.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Murray, a brother, Minyard Smith, and three sisters, Leota Hart, Dovie Ashworth and Essie Myers.
She is survived by her nieces, Jenelle Heaton of Odessa; and Juanita Frazer of Tuolumne, CA; a nephew, Jim Bob Smith of Fort Stockton; and great-niece, Jan Autry of Arlington, TX.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Westlawn Cemetery in Del Rio with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating.
