Roxie Dean Wright Thrush

Roxie Dean Thrush, known to everyone as Mom, 71, of Odessa received her wings Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born January 10, 1939 in Fort Worth to Naomi Evelyn (Watkins) & Harry George Wright. She was a retired barber having worked for 25 years. She never met a stranger, she was graced with the gift of gab. She volunteered at the Boys Club, coaching T Ball for 10 years, teaching many boys to throw and catch a ball. She loved to watch her children & grandchildren play ball. Also to hear her grandchildren sing. She was our biggest cheer leader. She would do anything for anybody even if it meant sacrifices for her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Georgia Faubion, Carolyn Stiles & brother, Jerry Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Thrush Sr., sons, Rickey Thrush & wife Cindy, Tony Morrell, David Wright & wife Lisa all of Odessa & Jimmy Thrush Jr. & wife Anna of ARK, daughters, Traci Stevens & husband Todd of Odessa, Honey Cuellar & husband Dave of San Marcos, brother, Wayne Wright & wife Carol of Grand Prairie, (18) grandchildren & (16) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Grace Fellowship Church, 607 W. 34th St, Odessa, TX.
