

Ryki Don Homfeld of Odessa passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at Odessa Regional Hospital, with his family and loved ones surrounding him. Ryki was born July 17, 1957 in Bryan, TX to Jerry Lee Homfeld and Betty Jo Burns Homfeld. He attended Odessa High class of 1975, took electrical courses at Odessa College and received his irrigation license. He married Deborah Brunner Homfeld on July 30, 1977. He worked many years for Odessa College, UTPB and TX Tech University, before starting his business as an Irrigation Specialist, installing and repairing sprinkler systems.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Garry Lynn Homfeld, brother-in law Gordon Alan Brunner. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Homfeld; sons, Nicholas Lee Homfeld and wife Taryn, Jordon Thomas Homfeld of Odessa; sister LaDonna Cox and husband Jimmy of Oro Valley, AZ; sisters-in –law, Janice Pepper and husband of Arroya Grande, CA, Patricia Wood of San Angelo, TX; two beautyful grandchildren, Braylee Lynn Homfeld and Bronson Xavier Homfeld whom were the light of his day. Also aunts. Nell Hardin of Portales, NM and Louise Baker and husband Kenneth Baker of San Antonio, several nieces and nephews and many friends whom he considered family. He played hard and loved harder.
A memorial service will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am Thursday December 3, 2015 with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
