Salomon V Almance

Salomon was born in Tierras Nuevas, Ojinaga MEX on August 17, 1936 to the late Genoveva Vasquez and Jesus Almance.

He married the love of his life, Maria del Rosario Ortega on February 13, 1982 and they were married for 43 years.

He worked and enjoyed his job in construction as a Backhoe Operator for the majority of his life.

He was a lover of the simple things in life.

A good cup of coffee in the morning, a cold beer in the company of friends and family, watching the rain and listening and dancing to good music.

His eyes would lite up at the sight of a 1950’s Cadillac.

He will be lovingly remembered for his humbleness, joyous spirit, contagious laughter and good humor even in the hardest of times.

Salomon is survived by his wife; Maria del Rosario Ortega de Almance. Children; Daughter Alejandra Ramirez, her husband Ricky Ramirez and Daughter Viviana Robles and her husband Ricardo Robles, Grandchildren, Naileah Galindo, Santiago Ramirez, Guadalupe Robles and Samantha Ramirez, and Brothers; Apolinar Almance and Sabino Almance.

Salomon is preceded in death by his parents, Genoveva Vasquez de Almance and Jesus Almance, brothers, Jesus Almance, Pedro Almance, Enrique Almance, and Conrado Almance.

Honorary Pallbearers are; Santiago Ramirez and Guadalupe Robles.

Pallbearers will be; Ricky Ramirez, Jesus Almance, Sergio Robles, Alejandro Robles, Modesto Robles and Juan Robles .

A visitation for Salomon will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 North Jackson, Odessa, TX 79761.

A Second visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:00PM at Odessa Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 907 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761.

The burial will follow at American Heritage Cemetery, 4100 FM1788, Midland, TX 79707.
