

On July 27, 1945, she united her life with Andres Rangel Murillo Sr. in a bond that would inspire all who knew them. Together, they were devoted members of Templo Buenas Nuevas from 1981 to 2003. Following their years at Templo Buenas Nuevas, Santos continued her spiritual journey at Odessa Christian Faith Center alongside her adult children from 2004 until 2020.
Through her unwavering faith, she imparted invaluable lessons to her family, teaching them never to be greedy and to always share, especially when it came to food. Santos firmly believed in God's provision for every need and eagerly anticipated her heavenly reunion with loved ones who had passed on. She instilled in her family the virtues of love and forgiveness, serving as the glue that held them together.
Santos was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her husband Andres Rangel Murillo Sr., and her son Robert Lopez Murillo Sr. She also mourned the loss of her cherished grandchildren Sandra Puentes and Andy Murillo Jr.
Her legacy lives on through her surviving family members: - Andres Murillo and wife Elvira - Gilbert Murillo and wife Mary - Consuelo Puentes - Paulina Baca and husband Hector - Peggy Murillo Arballo She is also survived by numerous adoring grandchildren: Lisa Hernandez, Corinna Escareno, Melanie Woody, Melissa Puentes, Joann Vejil, Johnny Puentes, Hector Baca Jr., Michael Murillo, Annabelle Barrientes, Eric Baca, Erika Sanchez, Abel Paul Fino, and Robert Murillo Jr. She also had numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation to honor Santos's memory will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, located at 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A chapel service, officiated by Chaplain Craig Bedenbender, will take place on the same day at 12:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. Following the service, a burial will be held at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79761, at 1:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers to accompany Santos on her final journey are Michael Murillo, Abel Paul Fino, Hector Baca Jr., Eric Baca, Johnny Puentes, and Oscar Valles.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this challenging time. Santos Lopez Murillo's memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched with her love, wisdom, and faith. May she rest in eternal peace in the presence of our heavenly father.
