

Selma Marie Huddleston, 95, formally of Odessa, the beloved mother of Melba, Kenneth and Billie Jo, passed away and went to be with the Lord. She joined her husband in Heaven on Monday December 30, 2013 at Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Huddleston had lived at the Crane Nursing Home for the past six years where she received wonderful love and excellent care from the nurses and staff there.
Selma was born to Allie Arthur & Frieda Tuckness on February 12, 1918 in Lamesa TX. She was the oldest of their children who also included her sister and brother. Her parents proceeded her in death.
Selma married the love of her life Red Huddleston on November 18, 1939 in Lamesa, TX. She and Willie Elijah celebrated 60 wonderful loving years of marriage before be proceeded her in death on February 27, 2000.
While Mr. Huddleston worked at Phillips Petroleum Company Selma was a devoted wife and homemaker and loving mother to her children. Selma and Red were devoted Christians and always shared their love for the Lord in their church and with their many family and friends
Those left to carry on her memory are her children Melba K. Freeman and her husband Robert, Kenneth D. Huddleston and his wife Carol and Billie Jo Freeman and her husband Jim. She also is survived by her sister Edith Cude and brother Jimmy D. Tuckness, five grandchildren, Karen Marie Freeman, Robbie Jo Morris and her husband Michael, Brian Huddleston and his wife Jerilyn, Scott Huddleston and his wife Nikki and Kori Huddleston. She also was blessed with four great grandchildren Rylie and Staton Morris and Levi and Hattie Huddleston.
Visitation with the family will be at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews, TX at 2:00 p.m. The Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
