Shirley Qualls

Shirley Jane Qualls, 67, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1945 in Ballinger, TX to L. C “Red” & Afton Davis. She married Hershel Qualls October 29, 1966. She was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church.

Shirley loved her family very much. She was especially proud of her 5 grandchildren, she bragged on them often and supported them in all their activities. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her family. Her new love was spending time at the lake and riding jet skis with the grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Hershel Qualls of Odessa, daughters, Heather Kirk & husband Dr. J. W. of Odessa, Karrie O’Brien & husband Branden of Lamesa, TX, brothers, Bill Davis of Odessa, L.C. Davis & wife Helen of Odessa, Ray Davis & wife Kay of Abilene, TX, Roy Davis of Merkel, TX, sisters, JoAnn Clifton & husband Tommy of Robert Lee, TX, Debrah West of Frisco, TX, & (5) grandchildren, Kelby, Brendel, Amberlee O’Brien of Lamesa and Allison & Keely Kirk of Odessa.

Shirley will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful friend, wife, mother & ma.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Crescent Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
