Now we've laid her down to sleep, we pray the Lord her soul to keep. Sista Ruiz, a Catholic, has gone to rest with the lord our savior at Medical Center Hospital on May 2, 2011.She is preceded by her late husband Fernando Ruiz and son Nick Ruiz SR, and daughter Lilly Carrasco. Sista was born in Loving, NM on March 28, 1922, and has been a local resident of Odessa, TX for a great period of her life. She was a great loving mother, who had a big heart for her family and friends. She made the best shakes, that her grandchildren enjoyed. She would love to have an audience as she told stories of her past, enjoyed to hear jokes told to her even if they had no meaning at all. She was always smiles, and enjoyed to have company by her side. She is survived by her sons Fernando Ruiz (Vavy) and wife Socorro Ruiz, Hector Ruiz, Randy Ruiz, and daughters Eloisa and husband Chito Espudo, Valerie and husband Pete Llanez, Linda and her husband Sonny Villalobos, and Elida Ruiz. She had 52 grandchildren, 136 great-grandchildren, and 66 great-great-grandchildren. We the Ruiz family would like to give a special thanks to Viola Lara and her daughters Zerena and Monica, the Medical Center Staff, Star Home Hospice, and especially to the nurses and CNA's at Deering's Nursing Home, because of you, our loved one will have a special place in her heart for you. Also, the Ruiz family would like to give special thanks to the friends and family who have kept us in your prayers, brought flowers, given food, and have just been there for us through this hard time in our lives. Paul Bearer's will be: Nick Ruiz, Gilly Villalobos, Anthony Ruiz, Chris Munoz, Michael Ruiz, Rolando Espudo, Peter Morales, and Randy Ruiz Jr. There will be a rosary in her name on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, May 6, 2011, at !0:00 a.m., with Rev. ???
