

Tex Berry of Odessa, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at home at the age of 80.
He was born on March 2, 1932, in Friona, Texas, to Ella and Fred Berry.
Tex grew up in Odessa, Texas and graduated high school from Odessa High School in 1950. His first job was as a sheet metal worker in Odessa. He then began working in the oil field most of which for Cactus Drilling Company until retirement. . After retirement he became a Mason and an Eastern Star holding various offices in both organizations. He was a member of the H.A. McFarland Lodge #1338, a 32nd degree mason and member of the Order of the Eastern Star Friendship Chapter #1008.
He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Jean Berry of Odessa. Texas; daughter, Ranea Hinds and husband Ron Hinds of Keyes, Oklahoma; daughter, Jeanetta Gulden of Sacramento, California; and two grandsons, Brody Hinds of Norman, Oklahoma, and Keith Gulden and wife of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Marjorie Stubblefield of Odessa and daughter, Ella Money of Odessa, Texas and Corine Berry of Austin, Texas; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, October 7th,, 2012, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 8th 2012, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Reverend Paul Thompson officiating. Masonic rites will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
