He was fortunate enough to live the cowboy lifestyle most of his life. He enjoyed nothing more than working on a ranch taking care of livestock. He served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict. Thomas retired from the Ector County road and bridge department in 1987.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jacque Douthit, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by 1 son, Bo Douthit and wife Brandy Arnold of Odessa; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Culberson and husband Steve of Odessa, and Tamika Joiner of Odessa; 5 grandchildren, Tye Culberson, Trey Culberson, Brandon Wilson, Stetson Joiner, and Chandler Arnold; and 3 great grandchildren, Caytlin, Trint, and Tevin Culberson.
The family will receive friends at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
