Tommy was the firstborn son of Ana O. Galindo and Tommy V. Galindo.
Tommy was known by many names—Tommy, Tom Ray, TomTom, Tommy G, and Keno—but the titles he cherished most were son, husband, dad, uncle, godfather, and friend. Above all, one of his greatest joys in life was being a dad. He loved spending time with his children and making memories with them through travel, baseball and football games, fishing, boxing, and family adventures. Being their dad was a role he treasured more than anything.
Tommy was a proud graduate of Permian High School, Class of 1989. During his high school years, he met his former wife, KaCee Elliott and together welcomed two children: their beautiful and loving daughter, MaZee Rae Galindo, and their son and Tommy’s best friend, Tomas Art Galindo, known as “Tag.” Although Tommy and KaCee later went their separate ways, his love and pride for his children remained the most important part of his life. Tommy later married Penelope “Penny” Galindo, who he shared life with later on in life to present day.
Tommy also enjoyed golfing, concerts, fishing, boxing, football, and simply spending time with the people he loved. While being a lifelong baseball enthusiast, Tommy especially loved the Boston Red Sox. His devotion to the Red Sox was perhaps a little unexpected, considering he came from a long line of devoted Yankees fans—but that was Tommy. He followed his own path and proudly cheered for his team. Opening Day was a special tradition he shared with his family.
Tommy was a natural entrepreneur and went on to open a mobile farmers market, which he treasured deeply. He was a hard worker who lived life on his own terms. Strong-willed and one of a kind, Tommy loved his family deeply.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Penelope “Penny” Galindo; his daughter, MaZee Rae Galindo; his son, Tomas Art Galindo, and girlfriend, Amaya Lopez; his mother, Ana O. Galindo; brother, Micheal Galindo; sister, Melissa Jones, and husband, Mike Jones; his mother in law, Eleanor Barrett; sister-in-law, September Tull; brother-in-law, Larry Tull; and his extended family, friends, customers, and all who loved him.
Tommy will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His memories, laughter, and love will live on through everyone whose life he touched.
A memorial service will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N Alleghaney Ave, on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 1:30 PM with Fr. Timothy Hayter officiating.
