Viva Louise Mayfield

She was born September 15, 1927 to Matt and Lillian Hellums in Anson, Texas.

She came to Odessa in 1962 from Snyder, Texas. She married William Marvin Mayfield Sr. February 23, 1945. She was the Director and Assistant Director of the Snyder Boys Club and was a World Class 42 Player. Most importantly, she was a dearly-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Lillian Hellums, daughter, Sandra K. Mayfield Biggs, brother, James Hellums, father and mother-in-law, Alford and Connie Mayfield.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 70 years William Marvin Mayfield Sr. of Odessa, a son, William Marvin Mayfield Jr. of Odessa, three grandchildren Shana Longley and husband John, Sunnye Forrest and husband Jeff and Amber Cotten and husband Lee, daughter in law, Mary Mayfield and her sister Sonja Emmrick and daughter in law Lisa Bolin.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10am at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will be at the Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas.

Pallbearers will be great-grandchildren Tegan Longley, Flip Longley, Luke McClanahan, Ragan Forrest, Jett Forrest, and William Mason Penn Cotten.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Madeleine Penn Cotten.
