Dean was born June 27, 1931, in Corpus Christi, TX, and moved to Odessa in 1955. She was a LVN at Midland Memorial Hospital before going to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. From there she started working in private nursing; Upjohn and then for Nurses Unlimited, from where she retired.
She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved kids and our house was always full. She always helped anyone in need. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and she had lots of life-time friends. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for you and you never had to ask; she was always there if you needed anything.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She had four children; one son and three daughters and took care of lots of our own friends just like they were her own.
She was only two when her mother passed away, but her aunt raised her along with her father and stepmother. Her aunt was more like a mother to her and her brothers, and just like a grandmother to us.
We thank the Lord she was in our lives. We love her very much and will always miss her so much.
She was a Christian and although she did not attend church regularly she had bible study every week and was a member of The 700 Club.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Wallace of Greenwood; daughters, Sharon Larremore of Greenwood, Patti Collier of Odessa, and Donna Coleman of Corpus Christi, TX; twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jan Reed officiating.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa.
