Willie Edward Williams, Jr. of Odessa, Texas was born November 6, 1953 in Tyler, Texas, Smith County. He passed away on May 9, 2011 in Odessa, TX. Willie was a blessing to Willie Edward Williams, Sr. and Ruby Jewel (Johnson) Williams. He served in the Air Force for six years. He married Carolyn Johnson in 1988 and to this union 5 children were born. LaKinya, Venetra, Willie III, Valerie, and Christopher Williams. Later he married Tanya Hall in 2008. He was employed for over twenty years at the Ector County Independent School District. Willie was preceded in death by his father Willie E. Williams, Sr. on September 1977. He is survived by his wife Tanya, his children LaKinya Boateng (George),Vanetra Williams (Jerry), Willie E. Williams III, (Airene) Valerie Williams and Christopher Williams, his mother Ruby J. Williams, his brothers Randall Williams (Cecilia), Gary Williams (Angelia), and Dr. Gregory Williams (Karen), sister Gwen Jones (Hiram), mother-in-law, Jewel Shaver, brothers-in-law, Melvin Shaver and Gary Gaulin, sister-in-law, Melcina Warren. Seven grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 9-to 9 pm with a family gathering from 6-8 p.m at Odessa Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Living Visions Ministries, 525 South Grandview. Thanks to everyone that helped Willie during his sickness and their compassion.
