Wilma Doris Johnson Nichols

Wilma Doris Nichols, 74, of Odessa slipped peacefully from this world into the presence of her Lord on Monday, February 18, 2013 while at the Hospice House. She was born May 4, 1938 in Friona, TX to Roy J & Hazel Marie (Crow) Johnson but spent most of her life in Odessa. Graduating from Odessa High School in 1956, and then from Baylor University with a degree in Accounting, she married Charles Wayne Nichols on August 12, 1961 in Odessa. She was a devoted member of Belmont Baptist Church for over 60 years and was a tax accountant for Howard Reed Tax Service and Rosa Valdez Tax Services. Most importantly, she was a loving mother and dedicated wife who took pleasure in being with her family.

She is preceded in her passage to heaven by her parents and sister, Beth Gaulke. She is survived by her husband, Charles Wayne Nichols of Odessa, sons Charles Wayne Nichols Jr. & wife Debbie of Fort Worth; Dr. Patrick Jay Nichols & wife Dr. Doina Neiner of Longmont, CO: brothers Jack Johnson & wife Claire of Georgetown; Bill Johnson & wife Carolyn of Burnet; (3) grandchildren, Jeremiah, Meredith, and Rebekah Nichols; (3) great-grandchildren, Hosanna, Havilah, and Shalom; numerous nieces, nephews and her Belmont Church family.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John McLemore officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
