

Ada Griffin was born February 13, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Henry Russell Hays and Grace Paris Hays. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Ada worked in her father's clothing business and took extension courses at the University of Texas. She married Guy Wilson Griffin in 1939. World War II began soon after and her husband enlisted in Navel Communications which took him overseas for 3 years. After the war, she resumed her life as a wife and her husband Wilson began training as an Air Traffic Controller. By 1960, Wilson was assigned to teach at the Federal Aviation Administration Center in Oklahoma City.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson; two sons, Ted and Gary and one brother, Henry Hays. She is survived by one son, Val of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mary Louise Ramsey of Denton, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Griffin (Gary) of Edmond; three grandsons, Todd, Brian (Emma), and Lance (Elisha); two great grandchildren, Hailey and Aidan (Brian).
Ada was born to a very devout family who together loved and enjoyed making music. Ada taught preschoolers for 25 years at Highland Hills Baptist and was a past member of the Ladies Music Club. All the talents she so desired all her life were given to her thru her sons, which she thought were her gifts from God.
