Lee was born on February 12, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Albert and Constance Christy. The third of four children, Lee grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Grant High School. While still in high school, he began taking courses in air conditioning, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong career. Following graduation, he landed a job with Govern Air, a position he earned, believe it or not, thanks to his exceptional penmanship. After several years with the company, Lee decided to venture out on his own, opening a painting business called Edmond Painting. He eventually returned to the heating and air conditioning industry at Temtorl, where he spent much of his working life.
Lee's love of car racing led him to meet Sissy, and the two were married in 1987. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, companionship, and shared interests. Whether they were bowling, enjoying a day at the lake, attending car races, or simply working in the yard together, Lee and Sissy found joy in spending time side by side. Lee was a true gentleman, never missing an opportunity to open a car door or hold the front door for his wife. It was one of the many little ways he showed his love and devotion throughout their marriage.
As a father to Robyn, Don, and Bryan, Lee was loving, attentive, and always present. He was a man's man through and through, yet his laid-back personality and easygoing nature made him someone people naturally enjoyed being around. He didn't need to be the center of attention to make an impression. His kindness, steady presence, and willingness to lend a hand spoke for themselves.
Retirement gave Lee more time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. He loved trying new foods, spending time at the bowling alley, relaxing at the lake, and enjoying his swimming pool. Never one to shy away from helping someone, Lee was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed.
Lee will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his easygoing approach to life, and the quiet, thoughtful ways he cared for those around him. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a true gentleman whose love was often shown through his actions rather than his words. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
