

Albert L. Crumley, 89 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away March 2013 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born August 15, 1923 in Cushing, Oklahoma, he was the son of Homer Guy and Edna Story Crumley. Al was a longtime resident of Choctaw and was very active in the Choctaw United Methodist Church, the Choctaw Kiwanis Club and the community in many ways. He loved golfing, square dancing, traveling, camping, and hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was active in Methodist Men, Meals on Wheels, and many civic activities, helping with making the Dream Catcher’s playground handicap accessible, helping with the Christmas Parade and Old Timer’s Day Parade annually, and local politics. Al was an Army veteran and was a manufacturing engineer for an oil field equipment company. Al was an avid Oklahoma State fan and supporter with many grandchildren attending Oklahoma State. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lewis Crumley of the home; two sons, Douglas Lee (Ruth) Crumley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Randall Leroy (Judy) Crumley of Hugo, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rosalee (Kent) Taylor of Perkins, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Choctaw United Methodist Church on North Choctaw Road, Choctaw, Oklahoma with burial following Military Honors at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
