Alice (Thomas) Hammons

Alice (Thomas) Hammons, age 95, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday May 13, 2018. Alice was born August 25, 1922 in Hitchcock, Oklahoma to Lizzie (Flowers) Thomas and Arthur Thomas. Alice worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. When Alice was in her twenties she married the love of her life Frans Hammons. They were blessed to share over 65 years of joy and love with each other until he passed in 2012. Alice spent her twilight years enjoying time with her family, she especially loved visits from the "Hammons Gang".

Alice is survived by; nephew Carey Hammons, niece Dana Soule, niece Jamai Willis, nephew Craig Hammons and nephew Grant Hammons.

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frans Hammons; father Arthur Thomas and mother Lizzie Thomas; brother Johnny Thomas and brother Frank Thomas.

A visitation for Alice will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. A graveside funeral service will occur Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Watonga Cemetery, N2590 Rd, Watonga, OK 73162.
