Come-and-go visitation will be held on Friday, March 26th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. Masks are highly encouraged during the visitation. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 27th, 12:00pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens 500 SW 104th St., Oklahoma City, OK. Memorial services will be presided by Rev. Delbert Hawpe. The graveside service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/advantageokc starting at 11:55 a.m. CT.
After taking in the first few days of Spring, her favorite season, Anita Fern (Hawpe) Stover of Oklahoma City passed peacefully at home on March 22, 2021 with her loving husband Buddy by her side. Anita was born in Cement, OK to parents Alvin “Jake” and Gladys “Ruby” Hawpe and had 4 siblings—Wayne, Geneva, Venita and Delbert. She graduated from Elgin High School where she played first string on both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. She and Buddy married in 1957 and throughout their marriage partnered on many business endeavors, including Buddy’s Produce, S & F Investments and Bar S Ranch, where she served as President and CEO. She supported Vietnam Veterans, Wounded Warriors and St. Jude’s Hospital, among other charities. She loved her grandchildren, her ranches, wildlife, collecting antiques and singing to oldies classics.
She is survived by her husband Donald “Buddy” Stover Sr., sisters Geneva Kelps and Venita Wyatt, brother Rev. Delbert Hawpe, son Donald Stover Jr., his wife Tammy Stover, daughter Danita Noel, her husband Joe Noel, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
