Ann Seidenglanz Mason

Ann Seidenglanz Mason was born March 8, 1938 in Dallas, TX and passed away February 20, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She graduated in 1956 from The Hockaday School in Dallas. Ann met her husband George of 42 years while a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority at the University of Oklahoma. George and Ann were loving parents who enjoyed their friends, hosting parties, travelling, supporting charities, and University of Oklahoma Football. She was active in the Republican Party in the years that witnessed the elections of Dewey Bartlett and Henry Bellmon. Ann was a leader at the OKC Zoological Society and was Director of the year in 1991. She was very active in Lyric Theater and a member of All Souls’ Episcopal Church. She was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Eloise Seidenglanz of Dallas and her husband, George. She is survived by her son Steve Mason of Oklahoma City, grandchildren Travis, George III, and Marie, daughter Lisa Stone and husband John of Dallas, grandchildren Marshall and Callie. She is also survived by a loving sister Pat Chapman of Tyler, Texas. Lisa and Steve wish to thank Paula Avery, Veronica Mixon, Ruby Akuflo, and Mickie Reece for the loving, compassionate care they provided Ann. The family wishes to thank Bill McGruder for taking care of Ann’s home for 15 years and being a devoted family friend. Memorial gifts are requested for All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73116 and the OKC Zoological Society, 2101 Northeast 50th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73111. Ann’s Funeral Services will be 11am, Thursday February 26th at All Souls’ Episcopal Church, 6400 North Pennsylvania with a Reception following in the Parish Hall.
