

Anna Marie Sterling of Edmond, Oklahoma, was born November 13, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Paul Jesse and Roberta Myrtice Sterling. She spent nearly all her life in the Oklahoma City area, with a brief time living in Coweta, Oklahoma, in the late 1980s. She graduated from high school and built a life centered on faith, family, and creativity.
Anna had a deep love for music, especially the cherished hymns she grew up singing in church. She found joy in reading and was a prolific writer of poetry, expressing her thoughts and faith through her words. Her writing also included a published account of her experience related to the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bombing, featured in the book Forever Changed.
A woman of strong and unwavering faith, Anna was a devoted member of the Mayfair Church of Christ. She was committed to raising her children in the Lord, faithfully taking them to church and reading Bible stories to them each day before nap time. She lived her life with God first and family always close behind.
Anna will be remembered as a faithful wife and a loving mother to her three sons, Quenton, Aaron, and Keenan. She cared deeply for her family and always did her best to provide love, guidance, and support. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a joyful spirit, often laughing and bringing happiness to those around her.
She is survived by her sons: Quenton Young and his wife Rebeca of Montverde, Florida; Aaron Young and his wife Gayla of Lawton, Oklahoma; and Keenan Young of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Caleb Young, Michaela Young, Isaac Young, Elijah Young, Nick Webster, Adam Young, and Aidan Young; and three great-grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Roberta Sterling; her brothers, Ronald Sterling and David Sterling; and her grandson, Colt Young.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her faith, her words, and the love she gave so freely to her family.
