Annette (Ann) Woodyard, 78 of Choctaw, passed away on June 14, 2018. Ann was born in Jackson, Alabama to Jenkins and Neal Coxwell. She was married to the love of her life, George W. Woodyard for almost 59 years. They moved to Choctaw in 1970. Ann was a homemaker for many years and in 1976 began working at the day care center at First Baptist Church of Choctaw where she was also a member. She later became the director of the day care center. Ann enjoyed many things including: being with her family, cooking, collecting recipes, working with children, reading, attending church services, going to her Sunday school class, taking care of her flowerbeds and shopping. She also liked to collect rooster and chicken figurines, which are all around the house. Even though she had lived in Oklahoma for over 40 years, Ann was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. Roll Tide!
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Sidney E. and Thomas J. Coxwell. She is survived by her husband, George, three daughters, Stella Reyna and her husband Fred, of Aubrey, TX, Sheila McGinley, of Choctaw and Nancy Bussell and her husband Mike, of Harrah, one son George W. Woodyard Jr. and his wife Sandi, of Choctaw. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Trey and Neal Reyna, Ann Marie, Matthew, and Mark McGinley, Westley Woodyard and his wife Kait, Brandon Woodyard, and Mary Walker and her husband Trevor, Mason, Molly and Nolan Bussell and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Viewing will be at Eisenhour Funeral Home Northeast, 8805 NE 23rd Street, OKC, OK on Monday, June 18, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at First Baptist Church in Choctaw, 2700 N. Main. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.
