Argathe "Gaye" P. Austin

August 22, 1944 – January 29, 2022

Argathe “Gaye” Pearl Austin of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed from this world Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Skyview Nursing Home, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Arthella and Allen Church was born August 22, 1944, in Ransom, Kentucky.

Gaye married John Steven Austin May 16, 1992, and they were together 29+ years until her death. Throughout her life she enjoyed working in the garden, floral arrangements, trips to rivers and lakes, fishing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her both parents; five sisters, Dolly, Geraldine, Dorothy, Jane and Sarah; one brother, James, and one daughter, Robin.

Gaye is survived by her husband, John of Midwest City, daughter Sharon Myers of Midwest City, three sisters, Martha Mashburn of Moore, Thelma Wallace of Georgetown, TX, Bonnie Church of Norwalk, OH, two grandchildren, Dona and PJ and numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones and friends.

A memorial service for Argathe will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
