Arlene Elizabeth Brtko

Arlene Elizabeth Brtko, 77, passed peacefully at her home on July 20, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 12, 1936 to parents, Joseph and Bernice Mastik. She grew up in Chicago, IL where she met the love of her life Frank Brtko. They courted for seven years and were married on October 26, 1957.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Her hobbies included oil painting, flower gardening, bowling, sewing and crocheting. Some of our most special memories were made during the holidays.

Arlene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bernice Mastik, and grandparents, Elizabeth and Frank Stokes. She is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, Frank; 4 daughters, Michelle Heinzig and husband Don, Cindy Brtko, Kim Wood and husband Paul, and Colleen Jackson and husband Tim; grandchildren Chris Jeffreys and wife Belinda, Ashley Tocco and husband Jason, Kara Dry, Nikki Lamb and husband Tate, Allyson Jackson, and Wes Jackson; and great-grandchildren Yasmeen Shannon, Lauren Jeffreys, Preston Tocco, and Bella Jeffreys.

The family would like to thank Agape Heart Hospice and the nurses’ aides for their loving care of Arlene during her final days. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the Chapel of Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Agape Heart Hospice, 3824 N. Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
