Barbara Kay McCall was born August 4, 1942 in Picher, Oklahoma. She was born to caring parents Ode Ray Lambert and Janice Hulsman Lambert. Barbara married the love of her life James “Jim” McCall and they had two children together, Douglas and Amy.
Barbara loved to volunteer. She enjoyed teaching the ladies prayer group at church, leading various Boy and Girl Scout troops, and working with hospice to name a few. Barbara was a member of Women of Grace, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a mentor for other women in Christ.
Barbara was the recipient of many awards for serving others throughout her lifetime including the Outstanding Young Women of America Award and Hospice Volunteer of the Year. One of her proudest moments was when she was blessed with her twin grandchildren, Adrian and Carina.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ode Ray Lambert and Janice Lambert Clay and her stepfather JT Clay.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, James “Jim” McCall of Choctaw, Oklahoma; her son, Douglas R. McCall and wife, Connie of Bayfield, Colorado; daughter, Amy L. LaPointe and grandchildren, Adrian J. LaPointe, Carina K. LaPointe of Choctaw, Oklahoma; her brothers, Joel Clay and wife, Peggy of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Roger Varvel of Lebanon, Missouri; and her sister Helen Clay Gibson of Moore, Oklahoma.
