Bernard Wagner

Bernard Wagner went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 11, 2021. Buck, as he was known to everyone, was born August 2, 1937 in Enid, Oklahoma. He studied and graduated from Phillips University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry. He was a National Accounts Manager for Abbott Laboratories, receiving numerous sales awards during his career.

Buck and Mary Helen Gappa were wed on Dec 29, 1958. They had 5 children, Cheryl, Jeff, John, Jim and Jason. They had 6 grandchildren Sean, Allyson, Haley, Hannah, Avery and Jack Henry. They also had one great grandchild Tatum born in Oct of 2020.

Buck enjoyed sports including golf, watching college football and cheering on Thunder basketball. He was an avid reader with a vast interest in all types of books. Bernard and Mary Helen spent time traveling and watching old movies together but you could probably say his most precious times were those spent with his family.

Buck and Mary Helen moved to Concordia Retirement Community this past June where they could be close with family and their church, Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Friday, August 13 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm. A service to celebrate Bernard’s life will be Saturday, August 14 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home at 11am with interment following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
