Betty Louise BOND

January 28, 1933January 23, 2020

Betty Louise Bond, 86, of OKC passed from this life on January 23, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral Service and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 27th at 2pm at Little Cemetery near Seminole. Public visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th from 12pm-6pm at the funeral home located at 7720 S. Penn in S. OKC. Betty was born on January 28, 1933 in Seminole to James and Nora (Maxwell) Scott. She was raised and attended schools in the Seminole area. In 1952 she married the love of her life, Albert Bond, and the two of them had four children together. The family moved around from state to state following Albert’s career in the grain elevator repair business. After the children were in their late childhood, Betty worked for 25 years as a CNA in OKC. Albert passed away in 1998, following 46 years of marriage. Betty had been a longtime member of Capital Hill Nazarene Church and a decade after Albert had died, Betty married her Sunday school teacher, Earl Lowe. They were married for 10 years before his passing in 2018. Betty was a firecracker who loved to flirt. She was a fun and ornery woman who always wore her signature red lipstick. She loved playing dominoes, reading, and working with older people. She enjoyed baking her famous rhubarb pie and homemade donuts. Her faith in Christ was very important to Betty and she enjoyed all the wonderful friends she made at church. Betty was a huge sports fan and she loved cheering on the OSU cowboys and her beloved OKC Thunder. Betty was made to be a grandma and great grandma. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. Betty Bond was preceded in death by her parents James and Nora Scott; daughter Sharon Kay Bond; granddaughter Michelle Denise Sherrick; three brothers: James Earl Scott, Edgar D. Scott, and Jimmy L. Scott; and her two husbands Albert Bond and Earl Lowe. She is survived by her three children: Gloria L. Terry, Victor L. Bond, and Nora Lynn Bond; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.
