Betty L. Welt Phillips, 86 of Spencer, passed away September 11, 2013 in Del City. Born May 13, 1927 in Luther, OK to Luther Claus and Cleta Maude (Cofer) Asbury. She retired from T.G. & Y. She was a member of Fun Timers Square Dance Club, Garden Club, and Historical Society of Spencer. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, traveling, elephants, playing cards and playing Bunko. Most of all she loved her family “The Thundering Herd”. She was preceded in death by both her husbands: Warren Welt and Alden Phillips; son, Dick Welt; sister, Shirley Mosley and niece, Sherry Rawls. Survivors include: daughters: Vickie (Danny) Dilbeck, daughter-in-law, Annette Welt, Rita (Ed) Miller, Debbie Wood, Penny (Jimmy) Dickinson; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, cousin, Nadine Richardson and many friends. Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Quality Care of Del City or Alzheimer’s Foundation.
