Betty Jean McConnell

Betty Jean McConnell, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Betty was born September 26, 1929 in Morris, OK to Marion and Mae Loague. She was raised in Morris, and grew up there with her parents and sister, Shirley. She married Robert E. Lee McConnell, and together they had three children. They moved to Choctaw in the 60's and bought a home there where they raised their family.

Betty was a very special person. She always put others first no matter what and adored her friends and family. She loved genealogy, and was able to trace her family heritage all the way back to the 1700's. She also loved bird watching and loved God. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert McConnell; parents, Marion and Mae Loague; son Stanley McConnell; daughter Janet McConnell; and sister Shirley Snider.

She is survived by her son Mark McConnell (wife Rachelle); daughter-in-law Carol McConnell Lee; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; close friend Mike Plante; and a host of other family and friends.
