

Betty Dean Fisher Scott was born September 16, 1924 in McAlester, Oklahoma to William Edward Fisher and Elizabeth Dean Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill, and sister Ruth McCrum.
She married Arthur Walter Scott, Jr., on May 25th, 1946. They enjoyed 66 years and 364 days together. She loved to be with friends, family, and people in general. She enjoyed her bridge club, Sunday school class, and dinner-club friends. She was often called “the hugger”. Betty was a member of Grace Methodist Church for many years, and active in many organizations in the church. She was a member of P.E.O., the Red Hatters, the Methodist women’s Circle, taught Cub Scouts, and was involved with meals on wheels.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur “Art” Walter Scott, and her sons Gregory and wife Becky of Tryon, Oklahoma and Richard of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, several nephews, and a host of friends.
The family extends their appreciation to the Good Shepherd hospice for their care, compassion, and understanding.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 10am at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
