Beverly Lyn (Johnson) Langston passed away December 2, 2022. She was born on January 20, 1953 in Sterling, Colorado to Wilbur Johnson and Thelma (McLain) Johnson. Beverly graduated from Edmond High School and attended Central State College.
Beverly loved to bowl and was a team member on numerous leagues and often qualified and attended State & National Tournaments. She also enjoyed fishing, canning vegetables and fruits and made awesome strawberry jam!
On July 4, 2000 Beverly married Dick Langston. Beverly and Dick loved to entertain. Dick’s specialty was grilling & smoking! Beverly excelled with side dishes and desserts. Cookouts were a normal occurrence at the Langston Home. Friends and family never left hungry or empty handed.
Beverly’s children were the four legged kind – her fur babies! She loved them with all her heart and in turn they had her wrapped around their paws. Her cooking skills extended to preparing gourmet meals for her babies. They were probably the happiest and best fed fur babies in Oklahoma City!
A special angel came into Beverly’s life, a spunky & mischievous blond headed little girl named Danielle. Danielle gave her the title of grandma and Beverly accepted this title and loved all the responsibilities of grandma duty, maybe going a bit overboard at times, but spoiling was the name of the game. "Love you more”!
At the time of Beverly’s passing Hefner Mansions was the place she called home. She enjoyed living there and developing special relationships with staff members and residents. Especially fur babies Buddy and Tosha!
Beverly is survived by her sister Cindy & husband Hugo, niece Kim and husband Shane, nephew Ryan, five great-nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
