

Billye Lucille Myers, 89, passed away December 13, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Oklahoma City on September 16, 1925 to William Jacob and Wilda Patterson Wiedemann. She attended Oklahoma City University and on July 7, 1945, following the conclusion of World War II, married William Nathaniel Myers. Together they raised 3 children. She went to work as an Executive Assistant with Devon Energy Company and enjoyed 17 years with the company before her retirement. Billye had a heart for serving others and that was displayed by the many activities she was involved in. She was a member of an Investment Club, a garden club, Desk and Derrick, a Den Mother, a Campfire Leader and especially enjoyed her time helping adults learn to read. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and Elder as well as serving Meals on Wheels. She later attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. In 2006 she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to be closer to her daughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Aric W. “Rick” Myers and her sister, Margaret Rose Johnson. Billye was so loved by her family that survives her; daughters, Susan Hawkins and Nancy Storer, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her daughter-in-law, Betty Myers of Oklahoma City, as well as her grandchildren, Lura Hawkins, Houston H. Hawkins and Zachery Storer, and her great grandchildren, Nova, Rhye and Pazl. She is also survived by Geri Storer and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Westminster Presbyterian Chapel at 3:00 pm.
