

Blake Winn, 80, passed away December 4, 2010 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born May 17, 1930 in Brownwood, Texas to Sam Houston and Mattie Elizabeth (York) Winn. Blake served in the US Navy from 1949-1952 during the Korean Conflict. He loved working with those who were less fortunate. He served for 2 years as a volunteer missionary in Haiti drilling water wells in areas where no drinking water was available. For many years he volunteered at inner city missions, and counseled in the prison systems, and in recent years, he served as a Chaplain in the Oklahoma County jail and the Resurrection House homeless shelter in Chickasha, Oklahoma. His passion was to share Christ with everyone he met, and over the years gave away hundreds of New Testaments.
Blake was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kermit and an infant sister. He is survived by his children Patricia Angel and husband, Chris, Michael Winn and wife, Loretta, Samuel Winn and wife, Patti, and Carla Brown and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Kevan Angel and wife, Rachel, Courtney Angel and Hailey Angel, Katrina Winn, Michael Winn, Jr., Robert Winn, Angelina Winn, Hannah Winn and Jacob Winn, Parker Brown, Tanner Brown and Jordan Brown; and great-grandchildren Abigail and Noah Angel.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Chickasha with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
