Bobby Joe Branom

Bobby Joe (Bob) Branom passed from this life into the presence of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior on May 31, 2026. He was born on May 7, 1936, the son of Homa and Alnora Branom. Graduating from Southeast High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma in 1962 and a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2001. He owned and operated Branom Pharmacy from 1967 to 1980. He went on to work as a chemist for Haliburton and finished his career working as a pharmacist for the VA hospital retiring in 2001.On June 26, 1959, he married the woman who held his heart for a lifetime, Judy D. Pritchett. To their union three daughters were born, Vicki, Shelly and Cindy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homa C. and Alnora Cordell Branom; sister, Darlene Reames; son-in-law, David Curry; and great granddaughter, Hailey Kirby.

He is survived by Judy, his beloved wife of 67 years; daughters, Vicki Fleener and husband, Brett, Shelly Calvert and husband, Chris and Cindy Paterson; sister, Joetta Adams and brother, John Boyce. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Ryan and Scotti Curry, Lindsay and Kyle Kirby, Derek and Katy Fleener, Daniel and Hollie Curry, Katie Fleener, Dustin Fleener, Megan Calvert, Matt and Ashley Calvert, Justin and Autumn Paterson, Ashley and Brandon Kirby. As well as 22 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159, US, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159, US, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
