Bobby Dale Tims

Bobby Dale Tims of Midwest City, Oklahoma was born October 2, 1954 in Atlanta, Texas to Billy Tims and Tommye (Mitchell) Tims. He passed away at his home on March 5, 2022 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Heath Tims, his sister Dorothy Moore and his father Billy Tims.

Bobby was a proudly born and raised Texan. After graduating from high school in 1973, he joined the Air Force where he served 4 years. After the service he attended the University of Texas where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma where he retired in 2013 after 30 years of service.

Bobby and his wife Diane (Waller) Tims, were married April 3, 2010 and lived in Norman, Oklahoma until they moved to Midwest City in July of 2020.

Bobby loved animals, the outdoors, working in the yard, playing all sports, especially softball and golf, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren! He also was a true fan of his Alma Mater, the University of Texas, as was evident by his well-worn, burnt orange Texas Longhorns hat!

Bobby is survived by his wife Diane Tims of the home; mother Tommye Tims of Atlanta TX; sister Donna Shirhall of Atlanta TX; brother Keith Tims and his wife Vonnette of Wills Point TX; brother BB Tims and his wife Rhonda of Mena AR; son Joshua Tims and his wife Jessica of Norman OK; step-daughter Tracy McGuire and her husband Tim; step-daughter Christa Determan and her husband Jack; step-son Daniel Stahlheber and his wife Shelley; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is being held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home located at 8805 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.

Burial will be held at a later date at Zion Hill Church & Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.
