Bristol Scholte of Edmond, Oklahoma returned to her heavenly home on Monday, September 14, 2020 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was 5 years old. Bristol was the first and only daughter born to Mackenzie and Christopher Scholte on March 6, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended pre-kindergarten at Primrose School of Northwest Oklahoma City. Bristol loved going to school, swimming, and playing with her friends. Bristol made a lasting impression on the many people who got the tremendous fortune of meeting her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Bristol is survived by her parents, brother Jamison, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Her family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care that was provided by the staff at OU Children’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Primrose School of Northwest Oklahoma City.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Bristol once when I ran into her with her parents at Target a few years ago. Her spunky personality was made obvious during those brief few moments that I chatted with her and her mom. I’m lucky to have had Mackenzie work for me around that time. We often worked together and I enjoyed hearing stories about Bristol. Mackenzie is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known, and an amazing mom. I’ve followed Bristol’s story since her initial diagnoses and I never considered this outcome. My heart breaks for Mackenzie, Chris, Jamison and the rest of the family, though at the same time, I’m happy for Bristol knowing that she is in her heavenly home and healthy once again. 💕💕
