Calvin Frank Rooffener

Calvin Frank Rooffener 80, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on August 12, 2021 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Calvin was born in Coalgate, OK Earl and Flossie (Bratton) Rooffener on December 2, 1940. He married Corene (Nunley) and they spent 42 devoted years with each other. Calvin served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army which included two tours in Vietnam. He retired as a truck driver, known by his CB Handle “The Mind Bender,” after 46 years. He loved sweets, candy (especially Hershey’s), Mexican food, and his family. His kids and grandkids were his life. Calvin never met a stranger and he loved telling stories of his experiences on life.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Johnny, Martha, Velma, Gail, and Pauline. Calvin is survived by his wife; Corene Roofener, Children; Lori Moser (Kenneth) of Enid, OK, Sherrie Brown (Dennis) of Michigan, Amanda McKay (Randy) of McLoud, OK, Terry Moon of Choctaw, OK, and Crystal Wade of Choctaw, OK, Brother; Joe (Donna) Roofener, Sister; Annie of California, Grandchildren; Dominique, Deja, Danielle, Brandon, Nathan, Caden, Bailey, Peyton, Mason, and Shylee, Great Friend; Bud Weaver, numerous Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 and 3:00 – 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Merritt officiating. Interment to follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.

A visitation will occur Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Fort Sill National Cemetery, 2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd., Elgin, OK 73538.
